SEM 2.0 Platform
The SEM 2.0 Platform empowers citizens to register, control, and track various frequent municipal procedures. Users can efficiently manage payments for traffic fines, vehicle circulation permits, municipal patents, and waste management fees, streamlining the administration of their obligations to the municipality. This innovative solution enhances citizen-government interactions and promotes transparency and efficiency in local governance.
Developed a Laravel-based microservices architecture with independent development branches and a shared Composer library. Implemented message queues and REST for inter-service communication, automated CI/CD for coordinated deployments, and CDN for static content. Utilized auto-migration mechanisms for database consistency across releases. The Vue.js frontend is a statically generated SPA deployed via CDN, ensuring high performance and scalability.

The "Alta Dirección Pública" System aims to equip government institutions with directors possessing proven management and leadership skills. The ADP mobile application, functioning similarly to a social network, is designed as a meeting space where directors can feel supported in their roles, share experiences and queries, and build identity and a sense of belonging. This hybrid application deploys the same base code as a website, an Android application, and an iPhone application, ensuring integrated and coherent development across platforms.
Engineered a cross-platform solution using Vue.js, leveraging an existing Rails backend. The key challenge was developing a unified codebase for web, iOS, and Android platforms, enabling synchronized deployments across all three. This approach ensured consistent user experience and streamlined development processes, showcasing effective hybrid app development strategies.

Evolved a legacy system initiated with PHP 4 over two decades, progressively updating to recent PHP versions while adapting to changing architectural paradigms. This approach successfully maintained and modernized a complex application with intricate workflows and special cases, exemplifying effective long-term system evolution strategies.

SIDCO is an advanced system designed for the management and control of both aerial and ground forest firefighting operations. It enables meticulous monitoring of activities, resource consumption, and status of assets allocated to each operation. Currently utilized by National Forestry Corporation (CONAF), the SIDCO platform has successfully managed over 92,000 operations, highlighting its robust capabilities in critical firefighting scenarios.
Engineered a mission-critical, real-time decision support system for wildfire combat management, now operational in CONAF's war room. Built with PHP, Vanilla JavaScript, and jQuery before the React era, it demonstrates the enduring value of robust architecture. The system's longevity and continued effectiveness in high-stakes firefighting scenarios underscore the importance of solid initial design, even as frontend technologies evolve.

Architected a microservices-based system deployed on OpenShift (Red Hat's Kubernetes), utilizing a Laravel monolith and static SPA. Implemented Laravel Octane with Swoole for enhanced web performance. The system's core challenge was offloading processing to Worker Jobs via RabbitMQ and Redis. Adopted hexagonal architecture for key interfaces, enabling flexible on-premise deployments. A notable feature is the generation of high-quality PDF documents using Blade Templates and Chromium, ensuring long-term maintainability and consistency through PDF snapshot testing.

Facturanet is an electronic invoicing system in Chile, which enables businesses to issue, receive, and manage electronic tax documents in compliance with regulations. This system facilitates the transition from paper to digital invoices, optimizing administrative processes, improving information accuracy, and reducing the risk of tax fraud. Facturanet represents a significant step towards digital transformation in Chilean business operations.
Engineered a complete rebuild after a decade of the original version's operation. This ground-up redevelopment leveraged the latest PHP and Laravel versions, incorporating extensive domain knowledge from the previous iteration. Implemented a robust multi-tenancy architecture, allowing efficient resource sharing while maintaining data isolation between clients. The project illustrates effective system redesign, balancing modernization with proven business logic.
